Tuesday –
The BC 7th grade football teams hosted Huffman Tuesday night. The white team lost by a score of 38-0. Offensive standouts included Lane McCune, Nick McCall, and Tristyn Chapman. The defense was led by AG Gutierrez, Aaron Torres, Jacob Macon, Reese Broussard, and Lane McCune. The red team was defeated 14-0. Offensive leaders were John Van Huis, and Rayburn Herbert. The defense was led by Cody Fuselier and John Van Huis who both had interceptions. The red team falls to 3-2 on the season and 1-1 in district. The 7th grade teams will travel to Livingston next Tuesday.
The BC 8th grade football team played in Huffman last night, and came away with 2 wins. The White team won by a score of 12-6. Ayden Facuda and Jerry Winfrey both had interceptions, and Anthony Bellanger, Corey Neil, and Nabor Sanchez all played well on defense. Keaton Watts had a 5 yard TD run and Easton Gibbons had an 8 yard run for a touchdown. The team record for the season is 4-1 overall, and 2-0 in district play.
The Red team also won 8-6. J.S. Beardon had a 5 yard TD late in the 4th quarter, and interceptions by Bobby Drake, and Justin Abate led the way on defense, as well as timely sacks by Jayden Martinez, and Shawn Hallman , and great secondary play by Kyler Garlaska and Clayton Whatley. Their record is 4-1 for the season and 2-0 in district. Their next game will be next Tuesday at home against Lumberton, starting at 5:00 PM.
