A man with a complaint about trespassing also faces charges of evading arrest on foot and resisting arrest. Orange police said the woman reporting him said he had smoked crack cocaine.
Police at 1:35 a.m. Wednesday went to a house in the 2400 block of Fourth Street in the Brownwood neighborhood. A resident of a house had obtained a trespass document preventing the man from her property and she called police when he showed up.
By the time police arrived, the man had run away. Officers saw him running around the back of a church and one officer ran after him. After stopping the man, the officer reported he was yelling and would not follow commands. It took several officers to handcuff the man.
According to the police report, the man was saying police shot him, an officer raped him, officers broke his arms and legs, and he was having a heart attack.
Police said he had to be put in a restraining chair at the Orange County Jail.
Dustin Chapman faces charges of trespassing, a Class B misdemeanor, evading arrest on foot, a Class A misdemeanor, and resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor.
