The BCMS 7th grade football teams played WOS Thursday night. The white team fell 22-0. Offensive leaders were Lane McCune, Nick McCall, and Tristan Chapman. The red team fell 14-0. Offensive leaders were Rayburn Hebert, Stephen Stone, John Van Huis, and Lincoln Breaux. The defense was led by Lincoln Breaux, Nick Lejeune, Aidan Reeves, and Landon Reeves. The red team will be off next week before starting district against Little Cypress on 10/9. The white team will host Sabine Pass on Tuesday at 5:00.
The Orangefield 7th grade lost to Buna 32-0 bringing their record to 0-2. Mason Houghton and Kane Smith tried to jump start the offense all night long but were unable to really get anything going with the smothering defense bearing down on them. Caleb Fregia was one of the defensive standouts opening the game with an interception.
The OF 8th grade bounced back after a tough loss last week to get their first win of the season defeating the Cougars 26-6. Leading the way on offense was Gavin Perri-Koci who returned the opening kickoff for a 67yd touchdown. Cameron Dischler and Brayden Parker also had big days on the offensive side of the ball both contributing touchdowns. Defensive standouts were Jackson Humplik and Case Singleton.
Both A teams will be at home next Thursday against the Kirbyville Wildcats and the combined B team will be traveling to Bridge City on Tuesday.
