The Deweyville Pirates won their second straight game, giving their fans a nail biting 22-20 win over Kountze in a game that was moved to the turf in Lumberton.
Lance Wilhelm lead the offense with 125 yards on 16 carries and two scores. Keevin Gordon tallied 44 yds. and a TD.
“This was a great team win,” said Coach Brandon Prouse. “Defense played very physical and fast all night. Skyler Beane had an interception along with several tackles. Ty Collier was all over the field making his presence known defensively.”
Deweyville (2-1) will host Evadale in the Annual River Bowl Friday at 7pm.
