Whether it’s a district or in this case a non-district game, a volleyball match between the Orangefield Bobcats and Bridge City Cardinals is always worth the ticket. In Game One OF had a 9-1 lead before BC battled back to win 25-23. In Game 2 again it was OF with a big lead early. BC battled back but this time the Lady Bobcats held on for a 25-15 win. OF would go on to win the next two 25-23 to take the match and improve to 10-3 on the season. BC fell to 5-4.
For OF: Bailee Click had 14 Kills, 10 digs and 3 aces; Devany Crain with 10 kills and 23 digs; Lily Saucedo had 25 digs; Faith Fregia had 10 digs, 7 kills, and 4 aces; Mackenzie Davis had 24 assists and 14 digs, and Tiffany Ciangalione had 17 assists.
For BC: Rylee Oceguera had 13 kills and Hannah Wiegreffe 10. Kyndall Harrison had 20 digs.
BC won both the ninth and JV matches. The Lady Bobcats host Evadale on Friday. Varsity starts at 4:30 with ONLY JV to follow. BC ‘s schedule shows them in a tri-match with Anahuac and Cleveland.
