Since birth, Chazaron Judge (left) literally hit the floor running. He’s been running competitively since the ripe young age of four years old. He was first trained under the watchful eye of the late legendary Coach Leroy Breedlove on the very track in Orange that today bears his name.
“Chaz always loved to run,” says his father and present coach, Demaron Judge Sr. “If I can remember correctly, when he was a baby, he was actually trying to run before he could even walk correctly.”
For decades athletically, the Judge lineage is deeply rooted in Orange. Dekarion Judge (below), which is Chaz’s cousin, just placed 19th in the 13u 400m at the Junior Olympics held in Iowa with a time of 55.43.
Last weekend, Chaz and his 4x100m 10u relay team, (Shaquille Leaks, Keagan Morton and Christopher Tony Jr.) competed in College Station in the 2018 TAAF Games of Texas where they ran a blistering time of 54.08 to bring home the gold medal in convincing fashion. It was only two years ago that this quartet finished number two nationally in the same event in the 2016 AAU Jr. Olympics.
“I love to run”, says Judge. “Our track workouts are tough but I believe that hard work pays off. Its just something about when I line up against my competition that makes me wanna just leave them in my smoke.”
Chaz currently lives in Baytown but will forever have WOS Mustang blood running through his veins. We’re looking forward to hearing of his accomplishments in the future.
