At approximately 7:15a.m. Saturday, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) was notified of an injured woman on the improved shoulder of Highway 12 in Orange County.DPS Troopers responded to the area of Highway 12 and FM 1136 and found an injured woman lying on the westbound shoulder of Highway 12. At the time, there were no vehicles in the area and no visible crash debris.
The 29-year-old Buna woman was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth hospital with serious injuries.
At this time, Troopers are working to determine exactly how the woman was injured.
