North Orange Baptist Church this week was the location for a special summer camp. Camp Noah was sponsored by the Orange County Disaster Rebuild to help children affected by Tropical Storm Harvey deal with the disaster.
Fifty local children took Camp Noah and gave a short program on Friday afternoon for their parents in the sanctuary of the church. Sharing his experience of how to deal with a flood was Noah himself. Each child received a certificate and a free T-shirt for being part of Camp Noah.
Camp Noah was run by the Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, the first of three that will be conducted in Southeast Texas. The other two camps will be in Sour Lake and Lumberton.
