Orange County Sheriff’s Office Calls June 25-July 2
Thieves have been out in the hot weather across the rural areas. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office last week answered calls to eight burglaries, eight cases of theft, one report of a stolen vehicle, and a robbery at the Smith Lake recreation park in Vidor. The robbery suspect was arrested the next day.
The calls were:

Burglary of a building, 11:49 a.m. June 25, 6200 block of West Roundbunch Road in Bridge City.
Burglary of a habitation, 4:10 p.m. June 25, 8600 block of Fox Road in Mauriceville.
Deadly conduct, 5:18 p.m. June 25, 5600 block of Pat Drive in Orange.
Disturbance, 6:39 p.m. June 25, Granger Lane in Orangefield. Man arrested for aggravated assault-family violence.
Burglary of a habitation, 7:19 p.m. June 25, 500 block of Tall Pines Street in Vidor.
Theft, 8:39 p.m. June 25, 1300 block of Sandra Lynn Street in Vidor.
Criminal mischief, 10:40 p.m. June 25, Granger Lane in Orangefield. Man arrested for aggravated assault-family violence.
Theft, 4:35 p.m. June 26, 12000 block of Highway 12 in Mauriceville.
Theft-disturbance occurred, 9:10 p.m. June 26, Granger Lane in Orangefield.

Assault occurred, 9:32 a.m. June 27, called to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont to talk with victim.
