Orange police think a 69-year-old man died after slipping and falling as he climbed a fence to feed his six dogs. His body was found Thursday morning
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said there is no evidence of foul play. A neighbor called police this morning to report the man as missing. Officers began searching the area and found the body nearby.
Enmon said the man lived in the Alexander Homes, which is a complex for senior citizens owned by the Housing Authority of Orange. The apartments are on Fourth Street by Cordrey Avenue near the Brownwood addition.
The man kept six dogs in a vacant lot next door and would climb the fence to feed them. Enmon said the man had been seen Wednesday morning.
Orange animal control was called to gather the dogs.
