
Two stabbings involving domestic partners were reported to Orange police Saturday, but the victims did not tell police about the attacks.
A local emergency medical center reported a stabbing victim about 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Detective Captain Robert Enmon said a 31-year-old man had been stabbed in the arm during an argument. His injury was not serious. The patrol officer reported the man refused to give a statement about the stabbing.
Then at 11:44 a.m. Saturday, a woman went to the police station to file a report that her mother had been stabbed multiple times two days earlier. The stabbing was done by the mother’s husband. Captain Enmon said the stab wounds were not life threatening.
Orange police Sunday evening recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested a man for possession of a controlled substance after finding what appears to be methamphetamine.
The vehicle was recovered about 6:33 p.m. in the 1800 block of DuPont Drive. 41-year-old Joseph Allen Guidry of Little Cypress was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Orange County Jail.
A man who trashed displays of chips and snacks in a convenience store was arrested Sunday about 8 p.m. for misdemeanor public intoxication and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
Officers went to the Texas Food Store, 305 Burton Avenue, to find the glass entry door cracked and chips on the floor. The clerk said a man came inside and began knocking the snack displays. When he left, he pushed the glass door so hard it swung back into the brick wall and cracked.
Police arrested a man matching the clerk’s description nearby.
