LCM Bears win two in Huntington, 8-4 and 11-7 to finish up pre-district play. Their record is now 18-3. They’ll open district vs WOS on Tuesday in a game you can hear on KOGT at 7pm.

The Orangefield Lady Bobcats traveled to Tarkington Wednesday morning and defeated the Longhorns 9-2. Kaylee Ancelot got the win, throwing 4 innings without giving up a hit. Ancelot finished with 1 strikeout and 1 walk. Codie Sorge finished the game, giving up 2 earned runs in 3 innings on 3 hits with a walk and 4 strikeouts. Karlye Bramblett reached base 3 times on 3 walks with a stolen base and a run scored. Kaylee Ancelot went 2 for 4 with a double, 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs. Olivia Grant went 1 for 1 with a double and 2 RBIs. Kinley Gipson went 2 for 3 with her first career homerun, 2 walks, and 2 RBIs. Autumn Frost went 1 for 4 with an RBI. Emma Humplik went 1 for 3 with 2 walks and a run scored. Tiffany Ciancaglione went 1 for 3 with a walk and an RBI. Kristin Broussard reached base twice on two walks with 2 stolen bases. The Lady Bobcats improve their record to 16-4-1 and open up district play tomorrow at Bridge City with JV at 5 and varsity at 6:30. You can hear the varsity game on KOGT.

The BC Lady Cardinals defeat Shepherd in 5 innings by a score of 15-0. Kassidy Wilbur recorded 8 strikeouts in 4 innings and only gave up one hit. Austyn Daniels threw the 5th and final inning to complete the shut out. Kassidy Wilbur was 2-5 with 4 RBIs, Caitlin Denison 2-3 with two runs scored, Kyndall Harrison 1-4 with an RBI, Aleah McClanahan 2-3 with three runs scored, Natilee Reed 4-4 with 4 RBIs, Jalynne Burch 1-3 with an RBI and two runs scored, and finally Vivian Nguyen 2-3 with an RBI. JV also got the win over Shepherd by a score of 9-3. Courtney Ball received the win on the mound.
