The Orange City CouncilĀ will decide whether to spend up to $200,000 for infrastructure improvements downtown to help a new restaurant opening in the historic Southern Printers building on Fifth Street.
The restaurant is the Boardwalk Grille and the owner of the business is currently remodeling the space. During the past 20 years, the space has been used for a sandwich shop and two coffee shops.
The city council agenda said the infrastructure is at Fifth and Division, which is where the Riverfront Pavilion and senior citizen center are. The money is coming from the special economic development sales tax.
The council’s meeting is 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the council auditorium next to the Orange Public Library.
