Tropical Storm Harvey damaged many businesses to the point that they will not return to Orange County, but that is not the case for Dominos Pizza in West Orange. They’re coming back bigger and better.
The location on MacArthur Drive has been there for 35 years, delivering hot pizza to the greater Orange area. Since then, owners Randy and Kathy Brown have added 10 more locations between Orange and Huntsville.
The Brown’s purchased the Aaron’s Rent-to-Own building next to their store on Mac Arthur following Harvey. The store had three feet of water in it. They will tear down the old location, renovate the Aaron’s building, and move in hopefully in the first part of May.
“It will be a dine-in location, about 30 seats” said Randy Brown. “We’re re-doing the parking lot, we’re adding an entrance on Carroll Street, and we’ll be adding a drive thru window. That will also give us about 4000 square feet of retail space left to lease.”
They’re also going to have a meeting room in the store, where Dominos can host birthday parties and other events.
Brown thanked the City of West Orange for their cooperation. “They’ve been great to work with during this transition.” Better Built Buildings in Mauriceville is the contractor.
