Local dentist Dr. Travis Miller filed Friday to run against businessman Keith Wallace for the Orange County Navigation and Port District Commission Precinct 1 seat. That leaves the port district with two contested races.
Friday was the deadline for filing for the May 5 elections for city councils, school boards and special districts. The only other Friday filing was for the Pinehurst City Council with incumbent Cynthia Adams filing for her at-large seat.
Pinehurst has no contested races and will be able to cancel its election. Other entities with no contested races are West Orange City Council, Little Cypress-Mauriceville school board, West Orange-Cove school board and the Orange County Drainage District. They will all cancel elections.

Precinct 1: Incumbent Keith Wallace and Dr. Travis Miller
Precinct 4: Incumbent John Young
At-Large: Carroll G. Holt, Tim Schossow and Walter James Mullins III (incumbent Jerry Hughes is not running)
Orange County Drainage District Commission
Precinct 1: Incumbent Kenneth Pigg
Precinct 3: Incumbent Randy Fuselier
At-Large: Incumbent Brent Peveto
Bridge City ISD Board
Place 1: Patty Collins and Paul Zoch (incumbent Marla Zoch is not running)
Place 2: Incumbent Judy Cole
West Orange-Cove CISD Board
Two at-large positions: Incumbent Roderick Robertson, Kianna Edwards Brooks, and Tricia Stroud (incumbent John Gray is not running)
Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD Board
Position 4: Incumbent Tammy Rountree
Position 5: Incumbent Aubrey Milstead
Bridge City City Council
Mayor: Incumbent David Rutledge
Place 2: Incumbent Kirk Roccaforte

Single-Member District 1: Incumbent Pat Pullen (candidates must live within the boundaries of the district on the western side of the city)
At-Large Position 6: Paul Burch (the seat is currently held by Larry Spears, who has to give it up to run for mayor)
West Orange City Council
Three at-large positions: Incumbents Shirley Bonnin, Dale Dardeau and Mike Shugart
