Edgar Lee Brumley, age 57, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Houston, Texas. A memorial service, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.
Edgar was born on Sunday, February 21, 1960, in Orange, Texas to parents, Charolette (Brown) and Jullian (J.T.) Brumley. He had been a lifelong resident of Orange, Texas. Lee enjoyed traveling and family vacations to Branson, Florida, Tennessee and several other destinations. He enjoyed fishing in his earlier years and in his later years he enjoyed taking the grandchildren to fish and enjoy the outdoors. If his children or grandchildren were playing in a sporting event, Lee was going to be there if at all possible, cheering them on as loud as he could! His grandchildren were the light of his life and he cherished them. Lee also enjoyed doing yard work, even if it was just something he did to catch a break from all of the girls sometimes. 70’s, 80’s and 90’s rock music was all you were going to hear Lee listening to, as that was the “best kind of music”. Every once in a while, he would even dance in the car while jamming his rock music.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Charolette(Brown) and Jullian (J.T.) Brumley.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Laura Brumley; Daughters, Jennifer Ashley Bera and husband Jebadiah of San Marcos, Texas and Dena Nicole Brumley of San Marcos, Texas; Brother, Travis Brumleyof Orange, Texas; Aunts, Linda Brown of Orange, Texas and Alice Russell and husband Ray of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Grandchildren, Alexis Nicole Gantt, Zoe Bera, Dax Bera, Tye Bera and Wes Bera.
