Orangefield High School’s UIL Academic Team traveled to Nederland High School on Saturday, January 27th for an Invitational Meet. The following students received medals: Informative Speaking-4th Place Katelynn Carpenter; Editorial Writing-2nd Place Kassidy Boyett; News Writing-6th Place Kassidy Boyett; Feature Writing-6th Place Kassidy Boyett; Copy Editing-1st Place Ronnie Elkins, 5th Place Whitney Flanigan; Spelling and Vocabulary-1st Place Ronnie Elkins; Accounting-4th Place Emily Havens, 5th Place Zach Patronis, 2nd Place Accounting Team-Havens, Patronis, and Christie Luong; Computer Applications-2nd Place Cade Prejean, 3rd Place Madison Taylor. Congratulations to these students and their sponsors. The next invitational meet will be hosted by Port Neches Groves High School on Saturday, February 10th.
