A woman who displayed a pistol in a vehicle Thursday night in Vidor was arrested and now faces two felony charges of possession of a controlled substance.
Vidor Police Chief Rod Carroll said a complaint came at 7:37 p.m. about a woman with a firearm in the 100 block of South Main Street. The caller gave police the vehicle’s description and license plate number.
Officers stopped the vehicle and when the woman inside got out, a small baggie fell from her lap. Chief Carroll said officers recognized synthetic marijuana in the baggie.
While searching the vehicle, police found 22 more baggies of synthetic marijuana plus 35 Xanax pills.
They arrested 31-year-old Natascha Ibarra of Orange who was taken to the Orange County Jail for the possession accusations. The pistol was a BB gun.
