Terrebonne High School head football coach Gary Hill, a 1991 graduate of West Orange-Stark, spends most of his time designing football plays for his team.
Once football season ends, though, Hill uses his creativity to enjoy another passion: fishing.
Hill is an avid fisherman who prefers making his own fishing lures to buying them. He creates the lures whenever he gets free time away from coaching and teaching.
“It’s just something that’s fun to do,” Hill said. “It’s just a way to have a quick stress relief when I’m at home. You find yourself needing something to do. Otherwise, you are just constantly thinking about work all the time.”
Hill said he inherited his passion for fishing from his father, Vernon Hill.
