A man had to be taken by medical helicopter to a Beaumont hospital Monday morning after beams fell on him at a local business. The incident was about 10:30 a.m. at Vic’s Road Service off Highway 62 north of Interstate 10. Acadian Ambulance service helped rescue the victim. Captain Randy LaSalle with the Orange Fire Department said the Orange County Emergency Services District No. 4 was not available and the Orange department responded. By the time they arrived, Acadian had the man cleared. OFD helped clear a landing zone for the helicopter.
