
Virgil Ingram, Jr., age 87 of Orange, Texas, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, October 13, 2017 in Branson West, Missouri. Services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday October 19, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Chris Eppler from Mauriceville Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orange, Texas. Friends and family will gather for a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home.
Virgil was born in Marshall, Texas on September 21, 1930 to Elizabeth Jane Patterson Ingram and Virgil Ingram, Sr. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps on active duty for two years and in the Reserves for four years. After his discharge he worked with the Texas Highway Department as a construction painter and retired after of 40 years of service. One of Virgil’s duties was painting the Rainbow Bridge.
He is preceded in death by his parents Virgil Ingram, Sr., and Elizabeth Ingram Hunt, two brothers Reuben Ingram and Roger Ingram and his wife Allie A. Ingram.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sister Avella Lubold and her husband Gordon of Sheffield, PA, his children, Liz Bilbo and her husband Mel of Branson West, MO. Beverly Jordan and her husband Brian of Texarkana, TX and Ginger Silveria and her husband Bruce of Rocklin, CA. Step children, Raymond Hughes and his wife Candy, Matilda Sonnier and her husband John, and Robert Hughes and his wife Darlene all of Orange, TX. As well as 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 6 nephews and their families, his church family and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mauriceville Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund.
