A family escaped injury Wednesday as fire destroyed their house at 3575 Timberlane Circle off Little Cypress Drive about 8 a.m.
The garage end of the house collapsed during the blaze. A car parked in the garage was also burned.
Little Cypress Fire Chief Matt Manshack said firefighters will need to stay at the house for several hours to make sure all hot spots are out. Investigators will not be able to determine how the fire started.
