Three people were hurt during a fight about 9 Saturday night at a house on Childers Drive, a cul-de-sac off 20th Street. The injured include a man that witnesses said came into the house and began fighting with two other men.
Acadian Ambulance had to be called to the scene at 9 p.m. Saturday to treat the victims. Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the suspect is a 39-year-old listed as a transient, but he apparently had been in the house before.
Two men, ages 21 and 23, were inside the house and were injured. The 21-year-old complained of a hurt right arm. He told police the suspect tried to hit him in the head with a portable stereo. The stereo hit the arm instead when the victim put his arm up to block the attack.
The 23-year-old had scratches on his neck and chest plus a puncture wound on an arm where the suspect had bit him.
Patrol Officer S.J. Mulhollan reported the suspect had a swollen left eye and blood coming from his mouth and left ear.
The young men told police the 39-year-old walked into the house and became aggressive to three women inside. The suspect walked into the back bedroom and the two other men went back to confront him. Officer Mulhollan said the door and door frame had been knocked out of the back bedroom during the fight.
As of Monday afternoon, no charges had been filed in connection with the event.

Orange police on Sunday morning at 11 had to use a Taser shock gun to subdue a man who had been running back and forth into traffic in the 3200 block of 16th Street. The man was later taken to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas for a mental problem. Officer M.C. Bernard reported the problem could have been caused by an illness or an unknown drug.
Citizens called police because the man was walking into traffic. Officer Bernard reported he saw the man standing on the sidewalk by Dollar General. When the man saw the police vehicle, he started walking quickly in the opposite direction.
Then the man ran into traffic in front of traffic. Officer Bernard took out his Taser and tried to stop the man. He said the man made fists and appeared ready to fight, so the officer fired the Taser. The man fell to the ground and was then arrested and taken to the hospital, where he stayed.
