Faith Fregia slides under the tag after driving in two runs Tuesday for Orangefield. The Lady Bobcats defeated Jasper 5-2 in their final non-district contest. The Bobcats (9-7) held a 3-0 lead before Jasper cut it to 3-2 going into the 6th. OF was able to add two insurance runs on a Karlye Bramblett double while pitcher Kaylee Ancelot finished off the side in the seventh for the complete game win.
Ancelot finished with 10 K’s and 4-4 at the plate with an RBI. Freshman Fregia and junior Jessica Metts had two hits a piece. OF will open district at home against Bridge City on Friday.

The LCM Lady Bears opened district with a 17-1 drubbing of Hamshire-Fannett. Jenna James pitched a 2 hitter with 7 K’s and no walks. Offensively: Murdoch 3-4 with a double; Toomey 3-3 with a dbl and a triple; Weaver, Frenzel, Short, James and Villanueva all had 2 hits. LCM is off Friday and will play WOS on Tuesday.

WOS traveled to Liberty and clobbered the Panthers 12-1. Jack Dallas struck out 8 in the win.

The Orangefield JV baseball team defeated LCM JV by a score of 5-4. Landon Tomlinson earned the win on the mound. Kaedon Evans picked up the save, going 4 innings and allowing zero earned runs. Landon Tomlinson hit a home run for the Bobcats, and Joseph Patla contributed with an RBI double. The Bobcats move to 7-1 on the season, and will begin district play next Tuesday.
