The OF Bobcats played 2 games in the Hallettsville Tournament this weekend, before getting rained out on Saturday. In game one, the bobcats were defeated by Wharton 5-0. Despite 5 errors on the game, the Bobcats battled back in the last inning, loading the bases with no outs before a line drive double play ended the threat. Brett Fregia led the Bobcats with 2 hits on the day.
In game 2, the bobcats beat Odem 13-0. Ryon Stubblefield pitched a complete game, allowing 2 hits with 9 strikeouts to earn the win. Mason Gonzales, Ryon Stubblefield, Mack Patterson, and Andrew Hoyland led the Bobcats offensively with multi-hit games. The Bobcats are now 9-2 on the season, and will travel to The Woodlands Christian Academy on Thursday for their final tune up before district play begins.
