The Bobcats defeated Lumberton 18-1 to finish out the Lumberton Tournament. Ryon Stubblefield earned the win, going 4 innings, allowing 3 hits, with 6 strikeouts. Stubblefield also collected 3 hits on the day including a double. Payton Lathrop, Brett Fregia, and Kent Michael also collected 2 hits each. Mason Gonzales drove in 5 runs on the day. The Bobcats travel to Memorial on Tuesday. Season record is now 8-1.

The Lady Cardinals competed in the Southeast Texas Invitational tournament this weekend finishing 3-1-2. Nederland 0-0, Huffman 3-1, Lufkin Hudson 0-2, Liberty 8-0, Silsbee 4-5, and Tarkington 11-3. Kassidy Wilbur was 2-0 on the mound with one undecided game. Wilbur recorded 29 strikeouts while only allowing one earned run. The Lady Cardinals utilized the depth of their pitching staff this weekend only allowing 11 runs overall. Summer Black was 1-1 on the mound and Peyton Trapp was 1-0. Outstanding hitters: Kassidy Wilbur went 8 for 16 with 6 RBIs and 2HR. Meagan Sourdellia was 6 for 15 with 4 RBIs. Summer Black went 3 for 7 with 4 RBIs and 1HR. The Lady Cardinals are now 13-1-3 on the season and will host High Island on Tuesday, March 7th at 5pm.
