
A man living in the Little Cypress area had nearly $1,500 worth of tools stolen from the toolbox in the back of his pickup truck. The man, who lives in the 6700 block of Guy Lane called Orange police at 8 Friday morning after he discovered the theft.
Police reported two Milwaukee Pex guns were stolen along with a Milwaukee right-angle drill, four boxes of brass Pex fittings, two arbors for hole saw and two boxes of hole saw. Anyone with information about the missing items should call the Orange Police Department at 883-1026.
A 25-year-old man was arrested Saturday night for assault with bodily injury after being accused of hitting his 50-year-old girlfriend. Orange police went to the apartments at 1010 South Highway 87 about 10 p.m. Saturday. Officer L.T. Holland reported the woman’s right eye was swollen. She told him the man had hit her with his fist several times around her head and face.
Officer Holland said Acadian Ambulance EMS treated the woman but she refused to go to a hospital. Walter Nunez was arrested for the assault charge and taken to the Orange County Jail. Officer Holland said a booking photo was not taken because of his “belligerent behavior.”
