It was a long day for the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Band and their fans Saturday in Nacogdoches but at the end of the night it was all worth it.
The Battlin’ Bear band performed at the Area Contest at SFA University and then had to wait until all the other bands were through to find out if they made the top 10. They did make the Top Ten and then performed again Saturday night in the finals where the top five would advance to State on November 7.
LCM will be joined by North Lamar, Paris, Spring Hill, and Atlanta. Bridge City also made the finals but just missed out on going to State.
