Silsbee beat LCM in four sets. Although they share the district crown, the Tigers will go in as the number one seed, LCM two, Bridge City three and WOS four.
Deweyville Lady Pirates volleyball defeated East Chambers Friday night in a playoff warm up game by the score of 25-21, 25-8, 30-28. Deweyville was lead offensively by their outside hitter tandem of Kennidee Willis (18 kills) and Brooke Smith (13 kills and 10 aces). Gabby Dupuy anchored the defense with 12 digs. Grace Nicholson threw in 5 kills and 3 aces for the Lady Pirates while Jacelyn Peveto had 3 kills in 3 attempts. The win improves the Lady Pirates record to 27-12. They will be in action in the second round of the playoffs with plans finalized after the conclusion of the first round.
