Orange Fire Marshal John Bilbo said an apartment fire Thursday night is being investigated as arson because it started in multiple places. No one was home at the time and the contents were destroyed, he said.
The Orange Fire Department was called about 8 p.m. Thursday to the Sabine Park Apartments, 111 West Pine Avenue off Simmons Drive. Bilbo said the next door neighbors were also not home and the fire and smoke did not affect any other units.
The fire was extinguished in about 30 minutes and no injuries were reported.
