At approximately 12:00 pm Tuesday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a call for assistance on a welfare concern at the Veteran’s Memorial Bridge. When Orange County Deputies arrived, they were advised a white female had been rescued from the water by workers that had been in a boat working under the bridge.
The 54 year old was taken by Acadian Ambulance to CHRISTUS Southeast Texas – St. Mary’s where she was pronounced deceased. Authorities are investigating the incident.
