Varnell Phillips, age 68, of Orange, Texas passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, private graveside services will be held at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange, Texas.
Varnell was born on March 1, 1948 to the late Sally Marie (Burnett) and Clarence Derm Halliburton in Angelina County, Texas. She was a resident of Orange, Texas for most of her life, where she raised her three children. Varnell was a Christian woman who loved her Lord Jesus Christ. She loved her children and her family, and she was always willing to help them in any way she could. Varnell woke up every day wanting to live her life to the fullest.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sally Marie and Clarence Halliburton, and her two brothers, Curtis Halliburton and Gary Halliburton.
Those left to cherish the memory of Varnell are her daughter, Stephanie Breaux; her two sons, Troy Phillips and Chris Phillips; her brother, Roylee Halliburton; her sisters, Shirley Hearn, Laverne Garza, Earline Meador, and JoAnn Krustchinsky; and her grandchildren, Blake Breaux, Heather Breaux, Eric Phillips, Crystal Meyers, Christie Phillips, and Haley Phillips.
