OF Hires Two Head Coaches

Rebekah Ragsdale takes over the Orangefield softball program, bringing with her both college coaching and playing experience. She is a graduate of West Orange-Stark High School where she earned all-district and academic all-state honors pitching for the Lady Mustangs. She was also named district MVP two times. From high school she would go on to play one year at Galveston College and then finish her playing career at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where she would end up being the all-time leader in victories and strikeouts. Rebekah has spent the last two years as a graduate assistant at West Texas A&M where she also earned her Master’s in Sports Management.

Sunny Hardy has been hired as the new Bobcat basketball coach.  He has spent the last three seasons as the head boy’s basketball coach at New Summerfield High School where he has accumulated a 63-27 record with a district championship in 2015. His teams have made the playoffs each year at New Summerfield, even making it to the Regional Quarterfinals in 2015. Coach Hardy has spent time at Kilgore ISD and New Summerfield as an assistant basketball coach and was a member of the 2008 Dangerfield coaching staff that won a state championship.
