Nina Glyn Dartez passed away at the age of 90 on June 22, 2016 at Harbor Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Nina was born November 20, 1925 in Sulphur, Louisiana to Elvin and Rosa Ellender. She grew up around the Ellender Ferry area and loved the marshes and waterways there. The happy memories she made there, fishing and exploring the land stayed with her until the very end of her life.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, A.J. Dartez, her eldest daughter, Sandra Kay Kibodeaux, and a grandson, Jarrod Brandon Self.
Nina was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in July 1951. She faithfully served as a Witness for 65 years, cherishing her hope for a world without death or sorrow as promised in God’s Word. She taught all her children to love the principles found in the Bible.
Nina was known for her generosity in helping others, her love for her family and her love of creation. We all look forward to the time when we will see her again, young and healthy, exploring an earth that has been made new.
A Memorial talk will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Sulphur, Louisiana.
