
Orange police arrested a woman Saturday afternoon for aggravated assault after a man was stabbed with a pair of scissors at a house in the 1000 block of Fourth Street. The man did not have life-threatening injuries.
Patrol Officer L.A. Lovelace reported he went to the house about 4:50 p.m. Saturday and saw a man “bleeding excessively from his right arm.” The man also had a wound in his right side of his chest. The victim, who lived at the house, said the woman who lived at the house stabbed him with scissors.
Officer Lovelace said the woman had a bloody nose and told him the man had punched her in the face first. Jacqueline Denise Eaglin was arrested for felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Willie Brown was taken by Acadian Ambulance to Baptist Hospital Orange Emergency Room. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office reports Eaglin was released from jail Sunday on a $15,000 bond.
A resident on Willowglen Street in the Greenway Park neighborhood called Orange police early Friday morning because of gunshots fired at the house. Patrol Officer D.Y. Myers reported he went to the area at 3:15 a.m. and a man flagged him down to report that someone had shot at his house.
Monday, Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the electrical breaker box outside had been shot. The resident noticed when the electricity to the house went out and he walked outside to check the breaker. Captain Enmon said police are actively investigating based on the information received.
Friday afternoon, a .9mm handgun was reported stolen from a house in the Roselawn subdivision. Orange police went to the 400 block of Camellia Street about 3 p.m. A woman said she put the pistol in the garage of the house and discovered that it had been stolen.
