Skylar Petroski of BC and Lauren Cox of LCM each won the Babe Zaharais Player of Year award for the male and female category on June 9, 2016. Both players have been nominated in the past for the prestigious award and both players are state qualifiers for golf the past couple years. Each player plans on continuing their golf careers in the future and playing for different perspective colleges on a golf scholarship. Cox with North Texas and Petroski with Lamar.
