
Sunday night the Sabine River Authority opened more gates at Toledo Bend dam to increase the water coming through the spillway down river. Currently seven gates are open one foot and two gates are open at two feet for 11,144 cubic feet of water per second. With the generator, a total of 18,099 cubic feet per second is being released. The lake level Sunday night was at 172.59 feet. The lake is full at 172 feet.
At Deweyville Monday afternoon, the Sabine River was cresting at slightly more than 25 feet, which is considered minor flooding.
The gauge on Cow Bayou near Mauriceville is past the flood level. The bayou there Monday afternoon was at 20.25 feet. Flood level is 17 feet.
No gauges are set on Adams Bayou, but the bayou in the Orange area has been out of its banks. River flooding is not expected in Orange
The Sabine River Authority rain gauge on Pier Road near downtown Orange shows six inches of rain fell in Orange between Wednesday night and Saturday. Two inches fell on Saturday. No rain was recorded at the gauge Sunday.
