Shelwyn “Chuck” Sylestine
November 28, 1967 – May 8, 2016
Funeral services for Mr. Shelwyn “Chuck” Sylestine will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Coushatta Multi-Purpose Building in Elton, with Reverend John Cernek officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peters Cemetery, Elton, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Sylestine, 48, of Elton, entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 8, 2016 in Mexico City.
He was a member of Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School, Class of 1986.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Della Sylestine and Solomon and Adeline Battise and his infant child.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his children and their mother, two sons, Adrial Sylestine and Orvalane Sylestine; three daughters, Kiyara Sylestine, Terryne Sylestine and Ashland Sylestine and their mother Ervina Sylestine, all of Mesa, AZ.; his parents, Delson and Janice Sylestine, of Orange, TX.; three brothers, Terry Sylestine, of Orange, TX., Irvin Sylestine, of Spring, TX. and Sherman Sylestine and wife, Marilyn, of Mauriceville, TX.; two sisters, Sarah Alford and husband, Patrick, of Orange, TX. and Ana Sylestine, of Spring, TX. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Rush Funeral Home, Kinder on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation services will include a singing service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. and will move to the Coushatta Multi-Purpose Building, in Elton at 12:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services.
