International Paper announced Edward “Ed” Barr has been named mill manager of the Orange, Texas, Containerboard Mill and he will assume overall leadership responsibility for the facility. Ed is a 26-year veteran of International Paper. Since joining the IP’s Global Technology organization in 1990, he has held a variety of leadership positions in multiple facilities in Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia and Tennessee. Most recently, Ed was the Operations Manager at the company’s Augusta, Ga., Coated Paperboard Mill.
“My family and I are looking forward to relocating to the area and learning more about the people and the community,” said Barr. “We have more than 400 dedicated team members working at our Orange mill and I look forward to further building on the strong foundation already in place.”
