All three of the Orangefield golf teams competed in tournaments this week. The J.V. boy’s golf team started off on Tuesday playing in the Vidor Tournament at Brentwood C.C. Sophomore Brock Cross led the team with a score of 108. The Varsity Boys then played Wednesday in the Anahuac Tournament at Chambers County, shooting a team total of 353, a nice improvement from the week before. The boys finished 6th out of the 20 team field. Leading the way for the Varsity boys, was freshman Logan Risinger shooting an 82, followed up with Senior Colby Cross’s 86, and Senior Griffin Patterson’s 89. The Varsity girls finished up the week with Vidor’s Tournament at Brentwood C.C., with both Anna Van Pelt (116) and Madilyn Hamilton (120) improving on their scores from the previous tournament. Both the Varsity Boys and Girls will be traveling back to Brentwood C.C. for tournaments next week.
