Pinehurst on Tuesday morning hosted the first Coffee With The Mayor. The informal meeting gave citizens an opportunity to meet with Pinehurst city officials. City Administrator Robbie Hood believes the first Coffee With The Mayor was a success. He believes the meetings will help citizens put faces with names and job titles to inform citizens who to contact when they have a need. Hood hopes the informal gatherings will make Pinehurst a better place to work, live, and play.
Joining Hood in the council chamber Tuesday were Mayor Pete Runnels and five Pinehurst Department heads that explained each of their departments as well as answering questions from about a dozen citizens who attended. Hood said the next Coffee With The Mayor will be March 15 in the council chamber at the Pinehurst City Hall.
