The positions are set for the girls teams in 22-4A. Silsbee had the night off and are the district champs. Orangefield, with a 57-41 win over Hamshire-Fannett, finish second. In a game heard on KOGT, LCM defeated Hardin-Jefferson 41-34 and will be in third place while the Hawks finish fourth despite having the same 7-5 mark. That’s because the Lady Bears swept the Hawks, winning 55-52 the first time they played. The playoffs begin next week.
LCM had three players in double figures. Sheridan Rogers and Alia Brown had 11 each and Grace Chen added 10. The LCM JV also won 27-20.
The Bridge City Lady Cardinals finished their season with a win over WOS 56-48. They went 3-9 in District play and finished the season with a record of 14-17 overall. The JV Lady Cardinals finished their season with a loss against WOS 27-24. The JV finished 8-15 on the season.
