
As the year is ending, sales tax returns across most of Orange County are up with cities and the county getting increased income. However, Pinehurst is still down for sales taxes.
The Texas Comptroller’s Office reports the county received a check for $385,157 this month to cover the taxes collected for sales in October. The county for the first 10 months of the year has received $5.14 million.
The Orange County Emergency Services District No. 3 for Little Cypress will continue to get sales taxes from International Paper until the end of 2015. The payment covering October is $41,616 for a total of $596,193 for the first 10 months.
Bridge City has $115,178 for October and $1.66 million through October.
Orange has $319,288 for the month and $4.025 million for the year to date.
Vidor has $203,671 for the month and $2.6 million for the first 10 months.
West Orange has $91,893 for October sales and $1.134 million for through October.
