
Petty Officer First Class John Adam Rodgers will officially retire from active duty in the Navy in May, 2016 with 20 years service. They Navy is flying his retirement flag over Longhorn Stadium Thanksgiving evening during the game. They will present the flag to him after the game and are supposed to show a video he made for them on the jumbo-tron also during the game. Adam grew up in Mauriceville and graduated from LCM in 1994. He spent 4 years in the Marines and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sargent. Shortly thereafter he joined the Navy and applied for Flight Engineering training. He graduated Honorman of his class and he is presently a Flight Engineer and a certified Flight Engineer teacher and evaluator. He is stationed in Jacksonville, Fl.
