The Carthage Bulldogs ended Bridge City’s season Saturday night 44-20 in the first round of the playoffs.
The Bulldogs made very few mistakes while the Cardinals had problems holding on to the football with 3 turnovers.
Carthage got off to a quick start, leading 24-0, and 24-7 at the half, rolling up 245 yards to BC’s 70.
In the second half the Cardinals scored first to make it 27-14 and got the crowd back into it. But Carthage quickly responded with a score and never looked back.
BC ends the season 7-4. Carthage improved to 8-3.
