State Representative Dade Phelan officially opened his district office Monday in Mauriceville with a good crowd of local leaders to celebrate the opening of the office on Highway 62. Phelan a real estate developer in Beaumont is a Republican in District 21 of the Texas Legislature which includes Orange County. The ribbon cutting ceremony took place at the office of County Commissioner Barry Burton and was formerly the office of State Representative Mike “Tuffy” Hamilton and before that was occupied by State Representative Ron Lewis.
