It’s not easy to win a bass fishing tournament when you’re going up against 200 other teams. It’s even harder when you’re facing temps in the 30’s and a 30mph wind.
But Saturday Casey Burleigh of Orange and his partner Josh Rodgers beat the field and the elements to win the Texas Team Trail event on Sam Rayburn. It was the first of five tournaments on the 2024 schedule.
The duo weighed in five bass with an impressive total of 29.14 pounds, beating second place by almost four pounds. They won a boat and cash totaling almost $55,000.
The next tournament is March 23, also on Sam Rayburn.
