Changes Made In WOS Lineup
What has to be considered an upset the West Orange-Stark Mustangs stumbled at home last week to the Nederland Bulldogs. After taking a 12-0 lead the Mustangs lost 19-18. WO-S missed three point-after kicks which proved decisive in the loss. West Orange-Stark Head Coach Cornel Thompson evaluated the Mustangs’ performance in the game as laying an egg. Their performance was very average and the effort in the tradition of WO-S football was very poor. There will be some new players starting for the Mustangs this Friday night on both offense and defense. The game was played without running … [Read more...] about Changes Made In WOS Lineup
Bears Host Mustangs Friday
The first game of the season was a difficult one for the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears. The 40-8 loss to Woodville did have a bright spot in that no Bears were injured in it. Some other good news is that the Eagle’s Tyler Greer who was injured on the final play of the game was released from the hospital early Saturday morning after it appeared he might be seriously injured attempting to make a tackle. This Friday night is the Orange Bowl as LC-M plays crosstown rival West Orange-Stark. Bears’ Coach Randy Crouch reflects on the Mustangs’ offense.
