A groundskeeper at the Hebrew Rest Cemetery in Orange Monday morning discovered tombstones had been overturned and a ceramic pot broken. The cemetery is fenced and locked. Orange Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the vandals had to have climbed or crawled over the fence. He said investigators do not know when the damage was done. He is asking for the public's help in finding the vandals. If anyone has information or saw someone in the cemetery, they should contact the Orange Police Department Detective Division at 409-883-1095. LCM Band is Going to State!
The LCM Band, under the direction of Jose Ochoa, was selected with four other band from 4A Area C, to compete at the State Marching Contest on Nov. 7 in San Antonio. Twenty-three schools in Class 4A will compete at the Alamodome. Ochoa said, "Proud of this awesome group of hard working students! Fatality Accident On 1442 Monday Morning
At 6:42 Monday morning Bridge City Police were call to a two car accident in the 3000 block of FM 1442. A maroon Chevrolet Impala was traveling on 1442 when the driver crossed the center line, striking a Dodge 5500 pickup head on. Ethan Williams, 19, of Orange, was pronounced dead at the scene. Weekend Police Reports
Orange police found amphetamines, marijuana, and synthetic marijuana at a house in Greenway Park when they had a search warrant. They arrested 39-year-old Kendrick Lloyd Jones of Orange. He faces a third degree felony charge for the amphetamines, plus two Class B misdemeanor charges for the marijuana and synthetic marijuana. Police went to the house in the 3900 block of North Eddie Street at 8:10 a.m. Friday. Jones was arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail.
