Orange County ended early voting Friday with a total of 18,612 ballots cast. Election Day is Tuesday and the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. KOGT radio will have live coverage. On Tuesday, registered voters must go to their assigned voting box, which can be found on the voter's registration card. Voters will need an approved photo ID like a driver's license, US passport or concealed handgun license. Student IDs are not accepted. Horrific Accident Kills Newlywed Couple
After a fairy tale wedding Saturday in Uvalde County, the newlywed couple exited the reception in a helicopter. The helicopter left the reception and later crashed, killing the couple and the pilot. Bailey Ackerman Byler, 23, of Orangefield and her husband Will Byler along with the pilot, were found in the wreckage that was located not far from the reception. The NTSB is investigating the crash.
